Between a rock and a hard place…

After having numerous conversations with male friends and listening into female discussions about what makes a man attractive, something occurred to me.

The male species is caught between a rock and a very hard place.

Not so long ago, the role of the man and woman was clearly defined. The guy was the bread winner and the woman looked after the household. Thankfully the world is now a place where a woman has the opportunity to earn as much as, or far more than a man. The days are gone of needing a man to support her. Now, while I personally find career minded women very attractive, it has left guys asking some questions…

Do women no longer need us and what makes a man a man?

Men are increasingly torn between showing our sensitive side yet at the same time remaining masculine. I mean there is more unattractive than a yes-man who cries when things don’t go his way and seems unable to take control of a situation. But therein the dilemma – if a man is too bossy he’s a chauvinistic pig but if he’s not assertive enough he’s a hen-pecked wetbag.

So ladies!!  What’s the story? What exactly are you looking for? Why is it that so many girls complain about the insensitivity of men and yet find bastards so attractive? Does it bother you if you earn more money than your partner?

Hopefully you’ll provide me and a lot of other men with some answers.

    Charlie,

Let’s start by saying an older guy like yourself shouldn’t be wearing sleavless shirts. All you’re missing is a can of Budweiser and you’d become totally unatractive to a woman with even lower standards.

To answer your question, if you have to ask what it is to be a man in a womans eyes, then most likely you’ll never know.
